Finally got my Safety Seal kit today. I had a puncture in the tread of one of my tires and it lost all of the air. But when I got to the car, aired it up, I couldn't find the leak hole. It was clearly visible last week when it was hissing away and I marked the general area where it was. I bounced the tire, used my flashlight, and listened for the leak. Couldn't find anything.

Came back to the car 3 hours later and the psi had dropped by about 5 so there is still a slow leak. Short from taking it to a shop and putting it in a water tub, how can I find this leak and fix it? My next idea is to get a sprayer bottle and wet the tire down.

Thanks for any ideas.

I would just go ahead and spray the tire with the spray bottle like you said. Put some soap in the water so you get some nice bubbles to show up.

I punctured one of my BFG MT's and the shop I bought them from plugged it for free. Maybe they'll do the same?

Thanks, I will try that. I want to do this with the safety seal kit so that I can have experience using it for future flats.

The other option is to try and find a product called OKO? - spray this in the tire - it will find the leak and plug it. - also if you have good eyes it will also show you were the leak is

I use a huge cooler as a dunk tank. That way you can check the tread and the bead for leaks at the same time. Comes in handy for parties and fishing as well.
