Karen, here's something that my friends and I have gotten much use out of and shared over the years... http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm |

Dammit, I swore I wouldn't cry, but that poem gets me every time. Thanks, Mary. This all gets better with time, and we've all been through it, we've just suffered a lot of loss in the past two months. Too much illness and death in our human and pet family this Spring. David and I are not religious but I'd like to think there's some sort of Heaven. When we lose a loved one, David always says, "Well, they know what's next before we do....." I appreciate the kindness, Mary. Hug those Dobies for me. Karen |

With the words that fly out of my mouth at these Houston drivers, most would say that I need to find some religion, haha! The Dobies are the reason I bought the Disco. Both couldn't fit in my convertible any longer and the Explorer was too boring for daily driving, so I decided they needed something that would give them their own sunroof! Hugs. M |

If you need some cheering up, gals, go take a peek of "The Cowboys" I posted on the "Disco Dogs" thread. (hehehehe) That pic is so 'uplifting', LOL (damn I am bad, bad, bad! bad!!!) KJ, (once again) I've been kind of in the same boat lately, I understand ... bad enough with the human losses, then to have our pets both with terminal conditions, it can get to you. (Go look at the cowboy pic, hehehe, it helps a little?) Mary, some that have been driving with me can attest to the words that fly out of my mouth, you're not alone, LOL Kim |

Kim, I'd say that pic was quite.....diverting! LOL! I'm glad to say I'm more about laughter today than tears, though I've shed a few more. I'm still listening for the Badger, and looking for him. The force of long term habit is strong. My dogs were old for SO long, it's hard to let go the automatic care-giving mode, you know? I hope your kid continues to do better than the vet expects. That's your gorgeous Boxer, right? I think we three girls should start a chant for good luck for all of us. I'll start: #^%$!@*&!!!!! How's that? LOL! Karen, knows ALL those words! |
