Have a '99 DII, 85K, that will not shift into low. The last time that it was shifted into low, it was somewhat difficult and the warning lamp that comes on to indicate that the TC is in Neutral did not come on? Does this indicate one of the switches going bad? Any way to diagnose if the switch is going bad? TIA, Spencer |

Yes... It doesn't seem to want to budge. I have applied a fair amount of pressure, but I do not want to bend/break anything. I have a feeling it may be one of the switches (I believe that there are two). I was wondering if a)anyone had experienced this before and b)if there is a way to trouble shoot the switches to determine if they are functioning properly. |

Mine is a bit sticky too. Try touching the gas pedal lightly as you push it forward. You might need to do the same when going back to high. Why revving up the motor helps I'm not sure, but it works for me. Before that I would really struggle with and was afraid I would break it. I have a 2000 Disco II. |

Get rolling a bit and in D and then shift to N while still continuing the roll a bit. Then try shifting to low, feel your way, and feather the brakes a bit until it finds it's spot. |

I have tried all of this to no avail. I believe that it is the interlock switch on the t-case that is causing the problem. I will report progress once I have some... |
