Greetings all, Looked at the tires on my 98 D1 and noticed that there were uneven wear patterns present. I have the tires inflated around 34psi all around. Land Rover recommendations for tire inflation are too low for me. Anyway, I have 82,000 on the clock and the shocks have never been changed. Could it be the inflation or the shocks? Both? My Disco is totally stock. |

I would say shocks.....possible tire pressure depending on the tire and how much load you have in the disco... also how you drive will make a difference, as well as if you do or do not rotate the tires. |

Also, it is important to keep the tires properly inflated. Especially when I am doing a lot of highway I'll over inflate by 5-10 psi, but I alway s maintain the psi difference front to rear, it seems to keep the handling realitively the same. To be of more help you'll need to describe the wear in better detail, cupping?, inside edge, outside, etc. Fronts, rears, all? |
