Hello All, I was just wondering... I have a 99 Disco 2. I looked in the center switch box, where the power window switches are, and saw a green and yellow plug below hanging loose. Does this mean that I have heated seats? Meaning, I have heard that the wiring harness may be there but the elements may not. Does anyone know how I can check for elements before I order the switches? Do I need to add a relay or fuse in my fuse box if I do have the elements and get the switches? Thanks Jason PS: I have cloth seats... I understand that this is fairly rare and can be more desirable by off roaders... true? |

If you have any questions after reading through some of that stuff, feel free to post 'em here. There are a few of us here who have added the heated seat option to our trucks. |

I have a question - are we sure that this wasn't an option until 1997? I've got a 96 SE w/ leather...is there anyway to verify this? These mornings sure are cold. Thanks joe |

Look around for a 1996 MY service manual... If there is an entry for seat heaters in there then it can be done. If not, then probably can't be done. I know it's pretty weak but unfortunately that's as good as my advice for 1996 Discos gets.
