How difficult is it to replace the SLS air bags with springs? I am shopping for a used Disco and plan on lifting whichever one I buy. Should I avoid Disco's with SLS? |

I like my SLS and have a 3" lift. Many people here hate it. Check the valves occaisionaly andyou shouldnt have a problem with leaking. as far as swapping, all you need are spring perchs and springs. AB is also selling an airlift suspension, which is basically sls but it goes inside the springs. -Rick |

I coverted my SLS on my rig, had way too many issues with it deflating. Besides springs perches you will also need the isolators. And I believe EE now carries those isolators. And if your going for a 3" lift don't forget to get 1" spacers. Oh and it's very easy, it'll take you about 4 hours for the conversion. It helps to have two floor jacks and a spring compressor. So I was getting ready to add a 2 lift to my 03 Disco by adding the rovertym spacers in the rear (I have SLS). Do I need to worry about the rear airbags deflating? Ill be honest Im not sure how these spacers work with the SLS but Im didnt think the spacers were fooling the SLS bags to fully inflate (I believe that is the other method to achieve the rear lift with SLS). Thank you for any insight. |
