I want to fit an extra fuel tank to my '97 V8. A company here in SA make one to fit under the rear fender, but it can only carry 10gallons. I need to get my fuel range to more than 650miles for a trip into up into africa. Have any of you fitted such a tank and where can I put it to get maximum capacity? Thanks |

Do a search for on some companies in Australia. I remember some extended range tanks for the Disco offered by some firm over there when I lived there. |

when doing your search you will find numerous comments to the effect that jerry cans are a better solution. |

You might want to look into a diesel instead of a v8. They seem to be better for long range expeditions anyway. |
