Sus,

Great looking RR. That Blue is a very cool color. Nice interior as well.

Enjoy - and pass me the "Grey Poupon" on the trail!

Thanks Jaime!
I called ECR today about Lucky's tailgate...we are going to see if we can get one locally first..then who knows. He/she (?) might pass on some Luck to this rig! Hope to see you on the trails some day!

Interesting thing to note, we got a STACK full of information on the truck with the purchase. ALL the service receipts back to the original window sticker ($51,000!!!!) and she has done some traveling!

From England to NY to Colorado to Virginia to Kentucky to Virginia again...all in 158K miles! It's like reading someone's biography!

That's a very nice looking interior for 158k.

I'm curious, how's the floor looking under the carpet?

I can't get over how nice the interior is for something that old with that many miles. Has the leather been reconditioned?

Sus...CONGRATS!

That rover looks nice! Great purchase!!! Just having those tons of records is a testimony that the previous owner is somewhat anal rententive about maintening his rover. Good luck with it!

Glenn

P.S. Now the question is, who gets to drive it?

It looks nice, I noticed you could get it up the driveway and disco is at the bottom. So does that mean the RR is better than the Disco since it got up??? :-)

Sus,

Interesting stats show the average income for early RR owners was in excess of 300k. If you look at inflation, content, etc., the new RR isn't that expensive as compared to your U$51k RR in 1992.

Good luck and if you find the need for some bizarro interior part, Lucky was totally intact in that area.

Damn, is that the one that was sitting in Madision Heights last week? Arrrgggghhhh. I was gonna stop and get the number off that truck, I spotted it the other day.

If so, I'm glad it went to a good home, looks like a solid RRC from here.

SSV- Very nice color and condition. It's great to get the paperwork relating to it's history. I had a bunch of stuff for my restored S-II which concerned road taxes, repairs ect. going back many years. I always save every piece of paperwork for repairs ect. for all my cars and find it does impress the buyer when I do sell them. Enjoy your new ride but do get some LR floormats quick!

Thanks everyone! Yes, the interior is just about perfect....even under the mats. All electrics work except the cruise control and the rear wiper (that switch is actually broken). It's had 6 owners in its 12 years but it has definitely been cared for...the leather was just recently cleaned/conditioned but as far as I know it's all original.

Yes, Michael it was in Mad Heights. My husband drives that way every day and saw it the first day the man put it out...I think every Rover person in this area saw it too....but we just happened to decide it was the right one at the right time. Let's hope it keeps us happy!

The pics could be better...but like I said, the driveway is a little tight. The Disco is at the bottom only so I don't have to park halfway up on the ice! Oh, and yes, that's the "CRV conquered driveway"...though the ice/snow has cleared alot now!!

Tim, I agree. We keep everything for all of our cars and it was nice to find someone else does as well! It has been serviced at the dealership(s) its entire life too! Wow. We are going to do all the fluid changes tomorrow and get some interior mats tonight. Wal-Mart ones will have to do for now (my Disco doesn't even have the LR ones yet!).

Glenn, it will definitely be fun to see if I fall in love with this one too....but she really is Ivan's truck. I still love the Goldie Box.

He's just excited that he has his own to drive to MAR this year and doesn't have to ride with me!! :-)

Yours does Nick!

I don't think this truck has ever been offroaded...I'm sure it saw some weather in Colorado, but from the looks of the underneath...she's clean. She has TONS of new parts though, the previous owners probably spent so much money keeping her running, they couldn't afford to wheel!
