Hi. I've decided to install OME HD springs and shocks on my 96 Discovery. My Brother and other people have warned me about putting OME HD springs and shocks because I will need to buy alot of other things to stop the vibrations that might go along with it. My question is, what parts do I need to get before I install the springs and shocks? -Thanks |

OME stay very close to LR factory spec for their suspensions, and it's therefore unlikely that you'll end up with any side effects. Vibrations IMO only start happening at around 3" lift. To answer your question, you won't need anything in addition to the shocks and springs. One thing to note however is the faster wear on your rotoflex, assuming that you've got them. This is due to the (slight)change in driveline angle. |

I did the OME 3" on my 96, over a year ago, and can confirm faster rotoflex wear, resulting in vibes. I upgraded to the GBR rear shaft and that seemed to solve the vibes back there. I think I was replacing the roto every several thousand miles. I put the GBR shaft on this past July. Good ever since. |

I installed OME HD springs and shocks on my 97 about 5 months ago. The 97 does not have rotoflex though. I removed the rear sway bar and checked the front and rear brake and ABS lines at full flex. No problems. |

I installed OME HD springs and shocks this past summer and all is ok except for the roto flex coupling. I am getting ready to convert it to a u joint connection with in the next week or so. I also had to replace the u jionts in the front shaft after the install, but I think they were on the way out. I like them alot, rather stiff for my taste but I like them alot. good luck |
