I have the OME HD kit that everyone and their brother sells. The problem is that the front is quite a bit lower than the rear giving me sort of a dragster look. Granted there is a RTE bumper with warn xd9000 and hella 4ks on it. The rear is pretty much totally unladen except for some basic recovery stuff (maybe 30 lbs worth) and no back seat. Even with a full tank of gas it looks a little funny. Only when towing does it level out some. When I put the springs in about a year ago, I noticed that the fronts were the same length (possibly both the shorter passenger side springs?) I guess my question is, does anyone else have this problem with a really heavy front end and are there other *Good* spring options to get the height right. The ride is pretty good and balanced, the front doesn't feel overworked, it just sits lower (or the rear is too high!) Appreciate the help! |

I assume you are using OME 751's in front. Switch to OME 764's which is a medium duty rear spring with almost the exact same spring rate as the 751. This will give you about another 1" extra lift in front than the 751's and hopefully level you out. Also be aware that as you go higher, your chances of front driveshaft vibes increases. |

I had this problem with the OME HD springs, I have an arb, winch, lights etc. Put in a 1 inch spacer and evened it out with no change in the driving feel. |

just posted this on another thread...same set-up. running a 12.5k Milemarker on the front with a RTE slimline bumper. Greg Davis Rear bumper and custom fuel skid plate. Safety Devices interior roll cage and roof Rack. I carrier a full size spare on the roof and fabricated a storage unit for the interior. When fully loaded for a 2 week expedition, no rub's and still gain about 1.5 inches of lift. Trucks' level, no spacers |
