While installing a CDL solenoid tonight in my 2000 Disco I noticed a bunch of BMW parts. Shifter, seat switches and a few other parts. They had the little roundel molded right in them.
Home come I never found Land Rover parts in my BMW?

BMW owned rover in 2000. I dont see why bmw would have any use for LR parts in their vehicles. It would be interesting if the X-5 had the lt-230 t-case or awd system. They share the same bolt pattern though for their wheels. maybe they share hubs? unlikely but something for someone to look into.

I know that BMW owned LR. I was being facietious.
BMW has a habit of using everything left over in the parts bin. If they have a supply of parts, they'll find a use for them. Also if they can standardize a part they will. Like the Bosch ecm that runs our motors and the BMW 8 cyls.

I believe it is Musky. Although I wouldn't take an X5 offroad. I'd love to have an X5 4.6IS though. Will you buy me one?

and a Hill Ascent Control and Slip Detection Control, and XREAS (read ACE) Control and Speed Bump Avoidance Control...

My sister just bought one of these. Very nice but way too many bells and whistles for my liking and you can't feel the road when you're driving.

Dealer informs me that the 04s will not have ACE, too expensive and confusing to the prospective buyer. Can I fit my 99 D2 ACE system on an '04? ;)
