I have a '97 Disco 1 with no cd-changer under the passanger seat, but the wiring harness is there. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the two plugs under the seat? If there is 12v there, and 3 or 4 wires for right and left audio, I'd like to build an adapter to have two RCA plugs to use a portable MP3 player. Within that harness, there also has to be some sort of way to make the head unit switch to CD input. Ideas?? Thanks. bz |

The factory head unit will recognize it if there is a cd player hooked up and will offer the cd changer as an input for the unit. The adapter to hook up mp3 player should work but you are going to have to consider the input signals that forward and reverse the cd and tracks. Good luck anyway, let me know if you have any success. James |

I'm not even concerned about forward and reverse tracks. I'd like to use the 12v to power the mp3 player and the right and left input jacks just to give me good sound. This sounds like a better alternative than a FM Modulated changer. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for those two wiring harnesses under the passanger seat? |
