i recently replaced a missinng stud on each of my exhaust manifold to downpipe connections. Now with the loud ass leak gone i can hear like 4 or 5 new noises that it used to drown out. I was a lot happier before i eliminated the leak. i have become very close to being obsessed with listening to the engine sounds, the suspension, the bushings, the wheel, the driveshafts, etc... i rarely turn the radio on now. the rattles, creeks, knocks, and shakes are all i can listen to now. Has anyone else fallen into this mode of overly preemtive auditory diagnosing?? or am i just going crazy? |

Jason, When I first got my Disco I had a similar experience. With all the problems that Discos were supposed to have I wasn't sure what noises I should be concerned about. After a while I became acustom to them, and those that didn't belong have really stood out. BTW, so far - knock wood - nothing has really been worthy of concern. Good Luck, Victor |
