I'm trying to get my trailer lights to quit flashing whenever my turn signals are on. From what I understand, if I change out the bulbs to a smaller size it will stop. I've taken the 2 phillips screws out of the rectangular light section (it has a clear side and an amber side) and gently pulled it forward. I don't see any bulbs. Maybe they are in the rectangle box that I pulled out, but I can't tell without breaking the rectangular light case open. If I can figure out where the bulb is and what size I need to get, I will go get the new bulb(s). Does anyone know where the bulb is in the winch bumper? Thanks in advance, Jamie |

Never mind, I got it open. It is the big bulb on the amber side that is making the trailer lights flash. I am going to go try to find a smaller bulb that will fit there. Thanks anyway Jamie |

Jamie, Did you manage to get this problem sorted out by changing the bulb? I am about to do the same thing on my TJM bumper. I am also going to 'turn over' the TJM light units. I want turn indicators to be outer and side lih=ghts to be inner as on the Disco itself. Jeremy |

Jeremy, Yes I did. Thankfully, I bought both the 5W and the 10W bulbs when I went to the store. I installed the 10W bulbs, closed everything up, and they still tripped the trailer lights. The next day I switched to the 5W and they work fine. No more trailer lights I finally got around to changing mine because I realized that I was beginning to ignore all the warning lights on the dash - I wanted to fix it before I got a "real" warning light and didn't pay attention to it. 2 cautions for when you do change yours: - The screws that hold the lights in (2 screws on each light) have a miniscule little rubber band like seal on them. I lost 3 of them when the screws fell on the ground. They must be there to seal out the moisture? However one of my lights had a dried mud line in it, so it must have already gotten muddy water in it at some point. I have no clue where I'd find those little rubber band seals, so I guess they'll stay as is. - The bulbs are very tiny compared to the original 21W and difficult to reach into the light and turn it into the locked position. I finally managed to do this by using a thin piece of that gripper stuff (that you use in the kitchen to force lids open with) inserted into a pair of pliers - then gently grabbed the bulb with it. Good Luck, Jamie |

Nice DiscoWeb sticker though! How many extra hp's do you get from one of those? |

If I am totally honest, all of my hp's have come from DiscoWeb. If it weren't for DiscoWeb, the members, and the active vendors here - I wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Period.

Funny, I have the same problem, put 5w bulbs in and the trailer light still flashes. Maybe I'll need to try another brand or try to find some LED based bulbs ? |
