Well, I'm an 8 1/2 and have never had a problem...

Come to think of it, I'm not sure I have ever heard anyone mention it.

You sure you are an 8?

i've heard this complaint before.

you can take the plastic/rubber pad off the gas pedal ad it gives you 1/4" more room.

They're a little close together, but the biggest adjustment I had to make when switching to the Disco was how small the gas pedal was. I had previously only driven cars w/ a large pedal hinged to the floor. Actually, the Disco (free floating pedal) is much easier to drive with sandals on.
BTW, size 8 is not big. I'm a size 13 and my best friend is size 15, but he's 6'8"

The legroom (or lack thereof) was actually the biggest adjustment for me. I'm 6'3" and I got cramps in my right leg for about the first 1-2 months that I had the truck. I've gotten used to it over time, though.

Go to Autozone and get a pair of those neon green drilled aluminum pedals that have LEDs in them. They are made small to fit in the little ricers. That ought to fix you right up. :-)

I once found a "stick" on a trailride in Florida. What I did was cut it in half. They have since became hand controls: I use one piece for the gas and one for the brake. I have eleviated all use of my feet whatsoever for the pedals. No more close pedal syndrome!

Although, .....steering has become a little difficult with my feet.

A guy walks into a shoe store and asks for a pair of size 8 shoes. The salesman says, "But, sir, I can see from up here you're at least a size 11." The guy says, "Just bring me a size 8." The salesman brings them, the guy stuffs his feet into them, ties them tight, and then he stands up, obviously in pain. The salesman just has to ask, "Sir, why must you have these undersized shoes?" He says to the salesman, "I lost my business and my house, I live with my mother-in-law, my wife is screwing my best friend, my daughter is pregnant, and my son is gay. The only pleasure I have in life is taking off these damn shoes."
