Does anyone have thoughts on code readers that do not require a laptop? The couple of brands that I've found are the Equus ($130.00) @ Advance Auto and the Actron ($150.00) @ Autozone. thanks, |

I bought my code reader on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43998&item=245 9714461). The brand name is Creader, cost $50 n/i shipping. It works pretty good.

From what i've been able to gather, the equus will read generic & manuf specific codes & the actron will only read generic. I need to purchase one soon & am still researching the options. |
