Has anyone ever put OME 762's on the rear of a Disco 1 with stock shocks?

I am going to this weekend. I was told there will not be any problems. Any taller, and you will need longer shocks.

Not sure about the 762's, I put the 781's on the rear of my D2 and was told I should be ok with stock shocks for a while, but the shocks ould top out if any major offroading was done. I just went ahead and bought the shocks too. Anyway, that was with the 781's, not for sure on the 762's alhtough I am sure it would be a similar deal.

Josh, I have the OME HD (751F/762R) set up on my D1 and am running the stock shocks. Every thing is good so far and have had the springs on for a couple months now.

Scott- With the stock shocks, are you getting any lift? If so, how much approx? Just curious.

I have the HD set up with stock shocks and 235 85 16's. I got about a 2.3 inch lift. The Shocks wont add or take way lift, but they will give better articulation.

Thanks, Matt. Do you have any pictures of your truck?

I'm lifting the Disco soon and trying to decide on a setup. Looks like I'm going with OME 761F and 762R. Let me know.

OME shocks are only 10mm longer at full extension than stock. So the whole OME articulation thing is a bit overrated. I ran 762's with 3/4" spacers and stock shocks - no problems whatsoever. Replaced with N44's recently just because shocks were due for replacement. Only difference is a firmer ride.

scott, thanks, thats what i wanted to hear. i think i read everything on the internet on the subject and didnt find anyone else running that setup. I dont really want to do off roading as a hobby right now, i just want some more capability for hunting and what not. that should be sufficient.
