I,ve been hearing a rattling coming from underneath my truck, while it sits at idle. So, i look under it and find out that my resonator is the cause of the noise. It sounds like something has broken off inside of it. --i plan on getting it replaced on Saturday and was wandering if there was a certain type i need or are they pretty much the same. Also, do the resonator and the catalytic converter work together? Thanks for the help. |

A lot of folks cut the resonator off and replace it with a piece of pipe. This does change the sound of the vehicle a bit, but it is one less thing to rip off on the trails, and, in your case, one less thing to rattle. No, the resonator and the cat do not work together. Golf balls and butter--two different things. |

I wander if a stick of butter would make a good tee? |
