After spending a few hours in the bitter cold replacing my fuel rail, I noticed that one part would not come off of the old fuel rail. It is the nut where the fuel comes into the rail. This part seems to be stuck there. There is a little piece of metal that might be welded onto the old rail to prevent this nut from coming off. Is it supposed to come off? Do I need to buy one of these special nuts to finish the job? Thanks |

Sam That union nut is not suppossed to come off. Some fuel system components have those nuts for connectors, others just have a plain straight tube. All you really need is a straight tube, a rubber fuel hose and a hose clamp to make the connection. So you can make it work without too much difficulty. Randall |
