What is this "code" thing I hear about that I will need when I disconnect or have to change the battery of my '00 Disco II, I'm the 2nd user and I don't have a "code" to reprogram the radio???is this so? I need to disconnect the battery to reset a Tv installation in the car, will I run into this trouble and if I do, what do I do? |

Whenever you disconnect the battery, you will have to enter an activation code into the radio to make it useable. It's an anti-theft feature, and it is described in your manual. The previous owner should have the code. If not, any Land Rover dealer can look it up for you by using the VIN of the truck, but they will most likely want proof that you are the legal owner. - Axel

Chances are, if it is a DII, you won't have to enter a code. I disconnect my battery all the time (for random wiring of this and that) and I've never had to enter a code. |
