Alright, I just bought some 16" rims on ebay for a good deal. Now, What is the largest tire I can mount on a stock non lifted DII?? I want to stick with BFG, either All Terrian K/O or the Mud Terrain K/O. |

Jim, I thought that size would fit on there well with a 2" lift? So you are saying they will fit with no lift and no rubbing? |

Since the BFG AT comes in a 235/85R16 doesn't that mean it is 9.4 inches wide and 31.8 inches tall.. if that is right will that fit on a stock DII??????? |

Jarod, I'm dealing with the same issue myself at the moment. I bought a set of 16" wheels from a guy near where I live here in Florida. He has a 99 Disco II with stock suspension and is running 265/75R16 Dunlop Mud Rovers. He said he doesn't have any rubbing problems, but he did self-trim his front bumper. I've decided to go with that tire size myself. |

FWIW... I got my 265 75s a week before my lift arrived for my DII. At the time, the tires were BFG ATs. They didn't rub... EXCEPT when the wheel was fully turned left or right. When fully turned, the tires rubbed on the inner plastic piece (behind the fog lights). To fix it, I drilled two holes about 2" apart and ran a big-ass zip-tie through one hole and out the other and then wrapped it around the fog light mounts and pulled it really tight. No more rubbing. Like I said, I only had them a week, so I didn't take them off-road and articulate the suspension. I've seen 265s rub on stock rigs when articulated. 245s may be a better choice for a stock truck. |

I have 265/75 Dunlop MR's on my D2 with a 3" OME lift and still had to cut the bumper to stop the rubbing. You'd definitely have to with a stock suspension. If you do it carefully though, it looks great. Good luck. |

I have a 2" lift with 265/75/16. No rubbing at all even with tire chains on. Jamil |

I dont have any lift on the truck at all, thats why I was curious what the largest tire I could put on it was. I am going to stick with the 245 BFG MT's. |

Jarrod: You'll be happy with the 245s on your stock rig. Good call on the MTs too. |

Jarrod , I have had the 265's on for almost 1 year and like stated above no problems except for full left or right turns. But whatever you do ...get the MT's Jim |
