95 disco, turn key to position 2 and check engine light flickers then illuminates nomally does check and goes off, everything is good except the flicker thing at first. Turn key off then back to position 2 and no check engine light at all, no matter how many times I turn it on and off. Let it sit for a while and on the inital turn on it will come on again. If it hasn't sit to long and I turn it on, the CEL will just flicker on then off, no check what so ever. What is going on here is it my ECU? | ||

That is suggestive of a bad ECU. I suggest you have it tested by someone with the proper 14cux tester as internal ecu faults do not reliably appear on the 2-digit display under the seat. You may also have a power problem to the ECU |
