My only hesitation is the fact that, it is a Auto Trans., I�ve always been a manual Trans. guy myself. Question, is there anything to be afraid of in the fact that ,it is a Auto Trans.. I also prefer manual transmissions but in the Disco I am glad I have the auto. When I changed the ••••• filter on mine at 75k it still looked like it was new now it has 125k.   Paul Grant (Paul_in_ct) New Member Username: Paul_in_ct Post Number: 13 Registered: 12-2003 Posted on Monday, February 16, 2004 - 08:13 pm:    The alternative to the ZF 4-speed automatic transmission in '94 was the LT-77 5-speed if I'm not mistaken. While I have not had any problems with the LT-77 in my '85 Range Rover, I know that Land Rover had difficulties with that transmission and replaced/modified it with the R-380 5-speed in '96. Most NAS 110's and 90's originally sold with the LT-77 were later upgraded to the R-380. While a stick is fun, for off-roading I definitely prefer the automatic.
