Anyone have problems with their oem pioneer cd changer? I've got a 99 Disco I that's located under the passenger seat and it stopped working.......just a few of them in the cartridges at first, then the whole thing. I ordered a new one and plugged it in and now it won't work, either! The head unit won't even pick up the cd when I press the "band" button, and now the cartridge won't even eject. Do I need to reset something to get the new one to work? Anyone have any suggestions or know where I can purchase another one?

Sounds like a power issue. Check the fuses (if any) and the power cables.

As far as it only playing some of the CD's, you may ty cleaning it after you get it working.

Check the plug on the rear of your head unit. I have seen those mysteriously come loose in the past.

Well, it's getting power - that's for sure. I ordered a used one off of Ebay and that one didn't work either! Now the cartridge won't eject in the old one, nor the new one. The head unit won't even pick up "CD" when I press the band button. I've mailed the changer back to the seller from Ebay and he's going to check out the one he sent me and attempt to remove the cartridge. Weird.......I'm hoping a new one will fix it! The dealership is outrageously priced.......$800!!! Oh - and I purchased one of those "cleaning" cd's from Radio Shack before, when it first stopped working and that didn't help it either. So now I"m once again without a cd player and waiting on another one to arrive. I'll check the fuses tomorrow.....didn't even think of that. Thanks!!
