last weekend a good friend of my fathers wrecked his jeep due to what he considered lack of park brake maintence. from what i got from my dad, he stopped at the top of a hill to scout out another trail. put it in first and set the park brake. there must have been enough slack in the brake to allow the CJ to slowly creep down the hill side. you know the rest.
now i know that most of us with later model rovers have auto transmissions, so this senario could be different, but accidents do happen.
he's now in the market for a 98-99 D1
enjoy the photos

That's so sad. I hope he finds something that he likes alot to replace it.

I don't trust my parking break anymore. My truck has tried to take off for some independent exploring without me twice. Both times I was able to get to and in my truck just in time to stop it. I was on level ground both times and stopped on the hard surface of slippery mud. On one of those occassions, it almost pinned a young man between his truck and mine.

Marc,

Ouch! Is that near Old Ward Road?

Keep him away from my '98! I should be picking it up this week (Genes).

not to hate and my condolences to the jeep, but all the people i know with Jeeps that wheel them, thier parking brakes leave alot more to be desired
