What will happen if I put D1 springs on my D2? I friend of mine has stock height HD uprated springs from his D1 he is basically willing to give away. They have low mileage yadayada. I am guessing this would give the D2 about an inch of lift over stock height, as D1 springs are taller than D2? Will they fit, and are they good springs?
Thanks
Matt

In the front it will be 1" taller than DI, DI and DII rears are the same height. So you will have a gangsta look with the front end higher than the rear. I'd pass on the springs and just get some real springs, OME or Rovertym.

Well I was gonna get the OME for the rear anyhow, just wondered about the quality of the HD springs. I figured they would be much better than what comes on these things.....

1" LR HD springs in front and 2" OME springs in back, now you will have the hot rod look instead of the gangsta look! Just kidding, just do it right the first time and get OME or RT springs all around, and don't forget shocks too.

Alan what if I like the hot rod look? So what if I am a gansta? Maybe I should lower the front and get 3" springs for the back........then what would I be??? (besides dumb) Ok, I see your point about the springs. Thanks for the info. Looks like I will just have to ante up for the OME.
