1996 Disco..OME HD coils and Nitro shocks..stock tire size but looking..97000 KM..no other suspension mods. While returning the wheels to straight after a hard left, there is this binding thump coming from the linkage. I can feel it through the steering wheel, but can't see any physical damage to the linkage. The thump only comes just as the wheels return to straight-on, but not after every left turn. It never thumps to the right. Anyone...? Anyone...? Bueller...Bueller? Thanks...SandMan |

Check your balljoints. Have a friend turn the wheel back and forth while you are under your truck looking at everything. |

I would also check your panhard rod....easy check would be to learn against the driver side of the Disco right above the front tire....see or I should say feel if you notice the cluck...if so panhard rod. It will either need a new bushing or need adjusted. |

Would either of these cause the thump only after a turn to the left? It never does it after a right turn? I checked while the front end was airborn, but then it never thumps. Different angles...weight loads...? I need those alignment dishes they place under the front tires to make them swivel real easy. SandMan |
