My wife left my fuel cap at a gas station. I bought a "cheapo" from Napa or somewhere. They said it would fit. I noticed that there WAS SOME pressure after using it a little. However, on the trail when my disco was tilted quite a bit, fuel started spilling out everywhere. I lost almost a half tank because of that stupid "cheapo" fuel cap. Anyone know where to get a real fuel cap for cheap, or a "cheapo" fuel cap that works? |

Did you try going back to the gas station and see if some kind soul left it with the cashier? A quick Google search pulled up this: http://www.used-car-parts-exchange.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/land-rover/gas-caps.html |

Was there a thread a few months ago where an owner had found the proper cap at Walmart? |

Difference is vented vs unvented caps. You can buy a Stant cap anywhere -just make sure to get the unvented this time Bill |
