Have any of you done any REAL upgrades to your audio systems? I don't 20 inch subs, I mean real listen to music upgrades. I run the gamut from Wynton Marsalis, to Hillary Hahn, to Dave Matthews, and the stock system, to put it bluntly, sucks. I've got a Blaupunkt head and changer in my car with infinity 6.5 components, and a couple of amps. I like quality sound, not wall shaking thumps, anyone? crickets.... crickets....

Sure there is. How much $$$ do you want to spend? I replaced everything in my 2001 SD |

Do you have the HK system? Craig...did you upgrade from the HK system? I think it's pretty good, but lousy at highway speeds due to the noise. I want to eventually get something with a line in for my XM and mp3 player that also works with the HK system and CD changer. |

Yeah, it is difficult to get much out of the Disco...poor speaker placement, no where to run wires, tons of rattles. I went with MB Quartz seperates, Eclipse head unit, Audio Control processor, Pheonix Gold amp, Eclipse 12, Monster Cable, and lots of Dynamat. Good luck |

I had the SD piece of crap stereo, so I replaced everything. I spent plenty of moolah and spent plenty of time doing the installation. If you're dying to know what I've got, shoot me an e-mail. |
