Will any brand of O2 sensor work for Disco I's. I have a '97 and have noticed that J. C. Whitney sells generic ones, both screw in and flange mount, 1, 2 and 3 wire ones for $25-30. What do you all think, a waste of money or worth trying? |

go with a genuine part, plug and play. after market and generic sensors require you to change the connector over. not a problem if your good with solder gun. most arent, so go original on this one and save yourself the grief. search the resources for vendors and prices |

Many of the LR aftermarket vendors will sell either factory LR O2 sensors, or completly comaptible OEM versions with the correct connectors. As a 97 model, make sure yours needs either the 'earlier' or the later "AEL" (Advanced Evap Loss) versions. If your evap canister (right side engine compartment) is "rectangular" shaped, then you need the AEL version (AMR6244). Original factory ones may be over $US 200 each, while OEM ones may be half that! Check places such as roverguy.com, DiscountRover, Atlantic British, Rovers North, etc... or whatever your favorite is!
