I saw a posting to use "The Right Stuff" instead of the cork oil pan gasket. Is this true on the Rocker Cover to replace that gasket as well? |

Just on the oil pan. Use the new style rubber gaskets for the valve covers. |

If you saw my post about the oil pan, becareful using sealant on anything that has proximity to oil. Just a drop can break off, harden and easily find it's way into an oil gallery or bearing and the result could be terrible. Much worse than the oil leak you were trying to fix! Another idea, is rather than sealant, smear the gasket with grease. It will help it seat properly and hold it to the uppersite of the rocker cover as you are putting it into position. |

Replaced my valve cover gaskets with Land Rover gaskets and they are about the only thing not leaking now. I also did the oil pan with black "SENSOR SAFE" rtv and it seems to be holding up. Be sure to get sensor safe sealants because regular rtv can contaminate O2 Sensors as it dries. |
