Here is the deal: I went out of town for a week got back the battery was dead no big deal I must have left something on.(keep in mind this is the longest I have gone without driving my DII since I bought it)So I head out on a backcountry skiing/snowshoeing trip for about 10 days we took the DII and guess what when we return to the trail head she's dead again. Luckily another group of people came by and I was able to jump the battery. After this episode the battery would die every 2 days or so. My course of action was to replace the battery, I assumed it was a shot battery. This seemed to solve the problem for a month or two and guess what now my battery is dying again. Every two days or so. I was told by LR that it takes 1hr45min to fully charge the battery so I always made sure to run the disco for at least that amount of time. But the battery continues to die. I am gussing that the alternator is not charging the battery. I'm a novice when it comes to electrical systems. So I'm lost and stumped. My car is still covered by warranty but the nearest LR dealership is 8hrs away. What do you guys think? Thanks in Advance. Matt 03 DII SE |
