If anyone has any suggestions/instructions of how to do this that would be great. Pictures would be sweet as well. Also I don't care if it is under the hood but i would rather have it inside!

Thanks
Dave

Here's a great article written by Perrone Ford. Read the other parts about the selection of a proper guage and the one about water temp. Very informative.

Bill thanks I found some info even the pics of your's. I am very mechanical so i am not really worried but I have never done one of these and I still am not exactly sure where you tap into the lines

what it the best kind of fittings and hose to use so it won't leak/break?

Dave,

On the oil pump, you'll find two blank plugs. Just order a spare one, and have it drilled and tapped to accept whatever comes in the kit for the gauge you order.

As for lines, common stainless braided line is fine. You're only dealing with 30-40psi tops so it's like like you're going to have big issues with pressure here.

My lines have been in places for sevearal years now with no leakage at all. And I am still using the nylon line that came with my Autometer gauge. I guess if it leaks one day, I'll change to decent fittings.
