Hi, I have a 93 range rover. I am hearing a constant clicking noise when I put on the brakes. it is coming from the front left. I have also heard it when doing a sharp turn. What could this be CV? I checked the brake assembly and it all looks fine. the bearings were just done as well. skip |

I have the same clicking noise in my 1995 Range Rover LWB. I think it's nothing to worry about. Probably the backing plate has come loose from the brake pad. If you've visually inspected the calipers/brake pads and they look OK then don't worry about the clicking noise. Boris |

I have no clicking. When they were new, on the test drive, not many would have found new owners if clicking was OK... Clicking is not original. Find what it is. Then fix it. You too, Boris. Guesses? Bearings, working/bedding in, need to be tightened alittle. Try that first. Next: double check that the lugnuts are at 90-95#. Next: depending upon mi/use/maintenance, you may have a CV joint on its' way out. Slow failure symptom is....clicking from a front corner. Just the messenger- doug james |
