The other day, I had a rear wheel bearing catastrophically blow out. Upon repair, I had to make a 600 mile trip right away. About 150 miles into it, the Service Engine light came on at about 114450 miles. At the time I was just cruising down the highway. I don't think it is the "check O2 unit" that needs reseting as it was done about 10k ago. Could this be related to the ABS sensors on the rear wheels? The vehicle runs fine otherwise and had no problems for the rest of the trip. The other thing I am noticing is some noise from the clutch. When cold, there is some noise as the pedal is pushed but goes away as it gets warmer. On the other end of the scale. When I have been on the highway for a long time and pull off to get gas, as I work through the gears from a stop it sounds like there are marbles or something rattling around as I let the pedal out. Thanks in advance Kevin Hans 96 5spd 115k |

The ABS sensor will trip your ABS light, not the service engine light. Get the code and we can go from there. |

the "Service engine" light is an emissions reminder. check the tech section FAQ's on how to reset it. |
