Last week my A/C worked fine when it was raining--demisted the windows and blew cool. This week (dry and warm), the A/C doesn't work. The fan and light (on the switch)inside turn on, the fan near the condenser turns on, but the compressor does not cycle/run. I have not checked the plug for voltage. I have a 96 SE7 with rear air--the rear air doesn't work either. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...DougC |

If your compressor doesn't cycle then you won't have air front or rear as they use the same. Check to make sure you have Voltage at the compressor. If you do your problem may lie elsewhere (i.e. low pressure switch, etc.). You should be able to jump the low pressure switch and if your compressor engages you will need to find the leak and have it repaired and recharged. |

sa 96 eh? i had the line to the rear go, right around the PS upper shock mount. also had the line open up in the engine compartment. look for moisture along the lines, i'm sure you'll find a pin hole leak somewhere. the way i found mine was to try and charge the line and look for it. |

Doug I have a 1998 I dont know how different the fuses are but on mine the fuse under the hood blew. It is the box under the hood near the radiator overflow. That happened to mine when my A/C went out last year, but like Danno said you may have a leak.Just wanted to pass on considering having to replace expensive parts. |
