Hi, so this is my first post! My girlfriend just got a '98 D1. I once had a '73 Series II - I must say this D1 is a nice car.
I'm about to change rotors and brake pads both forward and rear. I got the workshop manual and it seems fairly easy.
Do I need the piston clamp? Where do I get it?
Are there anything else I need?
Is there any special rotor pad brand I should buy?

Thanks!

I just recently change my pad and wheel bearings. I don't think you'll need the piston clamp just use a piece of wood or metal bar to push the caliper pistons back. While you have your rotors off re-pack your wheel bearings with fresh grease it might save you from replacing the bearing later.

clean the calipers as best you can. use a lubricating fluid to spray on the pistons. clean with brake cleaner, then push the pistons back into the calipers. this will protect the rubber seals from damage. use a never seize compound around the wheel studs this will prevent the wheel from corroding in place. clean clean clean take your time and you will be of to the races...
