I swear I saw a thread on this before I bought my truck, but I have looked in the archives and I can't seem to find it. Can you use off the shelf liquid fuel injector cleaner in a 2000 Disco? Also I am about to bring it for its first oil change since I aquired it in December. It has 60000 km on it right now. Is it safe to assume that it has Synthetic oil in it? I want to run synthetic oil from this point on. Can I just drain out the old oil and drop in the synthetic not knowing what is in it right now? I had my disco off road today...man can it go! It just dosen't stop. I was being careful as I was by myself but it just climbs over anything I put in front of it...and it is stock! I can't wait until I get some underbody protection and a new winch and bumper up front. My wife says that I have a un-healthy and un-natural love for my truck. Maybe she is right. Thanks in advance. Yes, you should be able to switch right over to syn. More than likely tho, it doesn't have syn. Check out: http://www.mobil1.com/index.jsp That site will answer many questions about synthetic. I personally use Chevon with Techron F/I cleaner with every oil change. |

Personally use Amsoil myself. More importantly, get some of this: Fuel Conditioner for your valves. https://www.expeditionexchange.com/genuine/ |
