I am trying to put my front diff guard on and the metal steering bar that is in front of it looks like it has to come off or at least one side needs to be undone in order to put the guard on the problem is I can't seem to get it undone. Is there a special trick or does it come down to brute force? |

I removed the passenger side, it takes brute force. I got mine off with hand tools, but air tools would make it much easier. |

Its the panhard rod, just undo one end and you'll have room to put the guard in. Clean the threads off the panhard rod bolt with a wire brush and use penetratring oil to help loosen it if its giving you grief.

I bought a Mantec front diff guard and I had a bitch of a time installing it. But I got it on without taking off a single bar. I had to open it up about 4 inches and then found a sweet spot to get it in there. It was like doing a rubix cube but it worked. - James |
