I have recently installed at 3" OME lift on my 2000 Disco II and will soon be adding a set to f 265/75/R16 BFs. I want to cut the front bumper to increase the approach angle.

My question is, what do you do with the fog lights? Can I purchase substitute lights and mount temp. with quick disconnects?

What brand and style? Thanks.

You can get any lights and just splice them in. Although i think Hella connectors fit the fog light connectors.

This is the same setup I have, and I added Hella 500s. The 500s do not come with compatible connectors, but you can just splice the wires in, blue-to-blue.
I just drilled holes in the bumper and mounted the lights. This has the advantage of being simple without having to add light bars or steel mounts, and the lights mount very close to the grill. The downside is that threading the nut on the backside of the plastic bumper is difficult and the lights vibrate slightly. This vibration was significantly reduced when I placed a very wide washer on the backside for support. I haven't really cared too much because I plan on installing a TJM in the future. The vibration might be less if 550s were mounted, which would place less leverage on the plastic bumper.
I will post a picture later when my wife returns with my truck.
A quick note about cutting the bumper, people regularly recommend using a cutting wheel on either a dremel or pneumatic drill, but I found that these both melt the plastic and leave an ugly edge. I found that a hacksaw blade on a horizontal handle cuts the straightest/cleanest line and it only costs $3 from home depot. I taped out my cuts with masking tape and it only took about 30min to do the whole thing.
