I searched for "oxygen sensor" and "HO2S" on the Disco Tech page and found no matches. Did I do something wrong? Can I check a HO2S to see if it is indeed faulty, I have a code 45 on my display.

Yes, you can check it a couple of ways. Visually, when you remove it from the downpipe you can visually inspect it for damage or coating. Most O2 sensores will be somewhat black because they live in some pretty harsh conditions. If it is bad visually you will be able to tell. Another way is to monitor the Voltage that it puts out, either with a voltmeter or a scanner. It should vary from about .2-.8 Volts and pretty quickly and regularly. If it hangs around .5 or.6 for to long then it may be "lazy" and need replacement. You can make the engine artificially lean by creating a vacuum leak (voltage should immediately change to the low end of the scale)or artificially rich by injecting propane (change to high end of the scale, even up to a full volt). Hope this helps.
