Hello all!

I have a dumb question. Where is the TPS located on a 97 Disco? I am having the strange stutter at 70 ph and heard someone here talking about replacing the TPS. It's cheap compared to everything else. I thought it would not hurt getting one that is if mine even has one.

Thanks

Chris

you have to make sure you put the new cover sheets on the TPS reports. Didn't you get the memo?

I got the memo. Did you get the memo? Actually Chris, you might want to ask Lumberg about those TPS reports. 97' w/65,000, that's nice.

maybe we should all meet up at chatchkies and talk about these TPS reports. By the way how many pieces of flair do you have on your disco?

96 Disco SE 73,000miles with 15 pieces of flair (the bare minimum)

Chris, sorry for the hijacking your post with our unsolicited movie references without any actual help.

You know Jason, if you want to use the "minimum" number of flair items that's your business but the other members of this board really go all out with the Rover flair. I'm not saying you need too but you really should look around and see how much flair people are adding to their rovers. If the minimum amount is what you want to give, well, that's your choice but you might want to look at the other board members and see what kind of example they're setting.

Ya....well.....we're going to need to find that TPSSSSSSSS....and we're probably going to need to do it over the entire weekend....OK? Grrrrreat...We'll see you.

I'm taking a baseball bat to mine.

"...they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married... but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler."

"We're not going to some white collar resort prison. No, no, no! We're going to federal POUND ME IN THE ASS prison!"

Love that movie for so many reasons...

I did get the TPS reports...Sorry for getting back so late but I could not stop laughing.... Thanks for the fun remarks. I found the TPS reports thanks to Steve. Took it off. Not much to the damn thing. Blew on it and gave it a kiss. Put it back on. I can't believe they cost $80 some odd bucks for this little thing. While I was on top of the motor I did notice a split in a small hose comming from the back right side of the plenum. Cut the hose stuck it back on and my idle problem was fixed. All of that work over a 4 inch hose. The thing was so tiny you just would not have noticed unless you were on top of the motor. Before any more cracks...I am talking about the hose under the hood of my rover not my pants:-)

Thanks

Chris

Chris, ummmmmm... Hiiii Lumberg here. whats happening? real glad you found that split hose and fixed it. becuase the bobs and I are gonna need to use your disco to drop off some of the back logged TPS reports... so im goona need you to go ahead and get a ride home. OK? good. oh yeah and one more thing, after we drop off the TPS reports, the Bobs and i are gonna try our hands and some "sippi hole" racing this weekend in your rover, so im gonna need you to also go ahead and get that snorkel installed. ASAP ok ? Thanks a bunch.

and oh yeah heres a picture of the Bobs and i on our way to the mudhole race trials.

Chris, Is there any way you could post a picture or e-mail me a pic of where the hose is located? My 98 D1 has an idle problem right now. Thedealer thinks it's the O2 sensor, but i'd rather not spend that kind of money if I can help it.... thanks

I took the best pics I could hope this helps. BTW I bought 125 feet of vacuum hoses this past week. They will be here on Monday. I will let you know if that helps even more.
