The red light located on the side of the rear bumper does it really light up or is it for looks? It seems like there is an electrical wire that goes through, so I assume it does light up. Conversely, does the light on the side of the front bumper light up or, again, is it just for looks?
Both lights on mine do not work.
Any ideas?

Raymond, if the one of the lights on the same side (either front or back) is burnt the other one will not work. I have this situation on my Disco right now. I replaced the end cap and lost the bulb in the process, so both front and back lights are not working on my passenger side. The lights are working on the drivers side (front and back).

Hope this helps.

Change the bulbs like John recomended they should work all four of them you can find these bulbs pretty much anywhere, I got mine at Wal-Mart. If your not sure pull one out and take it with you to match it up. If the connections are old or dirty clean them up. I had the same question and on mine it ended up being really dirty once I cleaned them up and put new bulbs all of them light up!!!!! To remove the bulbs the unit screws in clockwise from the back with only half turn, pull it out counter clockwise and it should pop off, remove the bulb, replace and reconnect. You can also make it easy and remove the two screws holding the entire light fixture but you still have to turn the holder counter clockwise to remove the bulb!!!!

Thank guys. How about the light that is on top of the bumper (not the tail and signal light), located on both corners of the vehicle when facing it from the rear? It looks like it does not have any wiring. So I am assuming these light is a reflector. Am I right?
