Land Rover operates a little known (new) web site, www.landrovertechinfo.com where you can purchase daily access for about $25, and access the full range of real factory documentation for your car. This includes wiring diagrams, service procedures, service bulletins, training materials, special tool lists, and more. All the carmakers were required to provide such public access sites last year to conform with new service info access laws in the US and Europe. This is not an aftermarket service like AllData. This site contains all the service information available to dealership technicians for your Rover. It does not have provision for lookup of your particular car though - you can't check recall status or get radio or key codes. For a complete list of manufacturer service web sites look here: http://www.nastf.org/

Online service rates for Land Rover are $10-34 (24hr)-$205 for the month- $1200 for year access-I stumbled accross this informative site about a month ago, and thought it was info known by many. The rates do change unannounced and the rates are current as of Feb. 2, 2004- The rates are reasonable compared to the rates of other imports, I believe Porsche had the highest rate $110 per document and $5200/year. Oh and Kia- $Free- www.nastf.org- click link for service rates |
