anyone fitted these? I am having trouble getting the nuts on the bolts. It could be the paint on it or they changed nut sizes between D1 and D2?

I installed them last week on my 95 classic. I don't have shock towers so I couldn't help you out with the nut size. Combined with rubberized spring isolators, I noticed a big difference in ride. Although, I had absolutely nothing on top of the springs prior to installing them where as a D1 should at least have the isolators in the rear.

Your links did not work for me but they are the 'Rubberized Shock Tower Securing Ring (RBC100111) $27' on the EE site. I also used 2 of the spring isolators (found on the same page on EE) on each side up front. The ride was dramatically improved and I gained a little more of an inch of lift.
