Help ! I keep a 97 Disco at our vacation home in Loreto, Baja California Sur. My "Check Engine" and "ABS" lights have come on and I cannot find anyone in Loreto with the diagnostic tools to identify and rectify the problems. Question: Do any of your members know of any mechanic or shop in southern Baja (Loreto, La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, etc) with experience and capability in Land Rover maintenance ? | ||

Norm, I don't know your area at all but if you can't come up with something on this site you may consider buying the diagnostic tool annd giving it a try yourself. Your profile suggests you have some brains and can probably problem solve. Heck you made it to retirement! good luck wish I was in Mexico instead of the snow Andy | ||

Norm, The diagnostic software is probably your best bet, or drive up to san diego. I would also suggest getting a copy of "The grinning Gargoyle spills the beans." but in your mind replace the guys plane with your rover. I have seen a rover in Cabo before, but only one. IT was white with a roof rack, was that you? ive never seen a rover dealer between the airport and cabo san lucas. | ||

to bad we didnt know of you sooner. we where just in loreto about three weeks ago. on our way back up from todos santos/pescadero area. anyway we may be back down in three weeks. i work on my 95 disco and my 93 lwb quite extensively. if you still need help drop us an email. what sid of town are you on. by the way the new hotel next to El Nido is pretty nice. |
