Greetings from the UK. Just fitted a set of Rangie Spares fender flares to my D1 and now in desperate need of some wheels to fill those arches out. The only suitable wheels available in the UK are through MJ Lee's custom service at $200 a corner! After some searching on Dweb, Gulf Coast Rovers looked to have the solution with their 'Black Nugget' American Racing rims with 4.5" offset. Two weeks after i emailed them they have so-far failed to reply so can anyone recommend an outfit that stocks a similar product and one that is maybe more keen in taking my money.... Presumably these wheels aren't an exclusive GCR line? Anyone fitted AR 767's? Yep, I know shipping five wheels to the UK won't be cheap, but a friend of a friend works for an air freight company and the price i've been quoted works out about the same as regular wheels sourced in the UK. This current dollar-pound exchange rate is great isn't it....!

Kevin, don't assume that just because you haven't had a reply back from GCR that they aren't interested in doing business. Sometimes things happen you know not of. Try calling them. Mimi (the owner, I guess) will go out of her way to accomidate you. I just got those same wheels from her about 2 weeks ago. When I called, she was out of them, but promised to call as soon as they came in. 1.5 weeks later, she called, I ordered and 2 days later I had the wheels. Mimi rocks, buddy! If you got the fender flares (like I did) you will want (need) those increased offset rims. From what I understand, those rims are made in Canada and GCR has the only contract to sell them in the US of A. I have found no where else that sells rims with a 4.5" offset (most places don't know what the hell you're talking about when you mention "offset" of "backspacing"). And NO, on this side of the pond, the dollar-pound exchange rate friggen SUX!!! |

GCR, Rover Accesories,AB; all sell the same wheels. Its a case of the the infamous manufacturer who only build wheels for them. Most of these steel wheels are NOT made for Rovers. They are made for Camaros. 5 on 4.75 vs 5on 120mm. They fit, but not exactly. I'm saving for some MRTs(MRT-Wheels.com). They wheels are made to order. Jay, you are right, Mimi is the best, and the GCR is very honest. GL |

Sorry, but I'm not sure I agree with you there, Clarance. The wheels that everyone else sells have the LR standard offset of 3.5" - the one's GCR sells has 4.5". I had a set of the AB Nato wheels and their offset was 3.5". When I was searching for 4.5" offset, I asked AB and they were clueless about that spec. I hunted high and low for that offset and no one seemed to have it (or know what the offset was)with the LR bolt pattern, which the LR bolt pattern is 5 on 6.5" - extremely unusual. |

extremely rare indeed. from what I've been told, American Racing makes the rims to order because they buy like 300 rims at a time. You can get Stockton Wheel to custom make some, but they are pricey, and why would you when all you have to do is call Mimi at GCR? They're inexpensive, 1" offset over stock and had them to me the next day for $10 a wheel. Granted I live in Texas but they ship the same day and only charge actual shipping. Also, don't forget to get the black teflon lug nuts. |

I got the steel wheels from Trek, I don't know the offset but they work just fine. |
