I just purchased a trailer with electronic brakes. Has anyone installed their controller themselves? Is the truck prewired for the brakes? I have the land rover trailer harness kit. I noticed two connections in the socket that the trailer wiring harness plugs into are not used and capped. What are these two connections for? I know the two loose connections are for aux. power and reverse lights. Also if the truck is not prewired, what is the best place to tap into the brake stoplight switch for the controller. The hitch shop I purchased mine from does Cincinnati Land Rover's work, but they said they encounter many problems when wiring the controller while trying to find a suitable brake stoplight connection. They said it was because of the computer. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan |
