D2 light bulbs

Author Message   Bob Shinn (Bshinn) Member Username: Bshinn Post Number: 90 Registered: 01-2004 Posted on Tuesday, March 02, 2004 - 11:20 am:    Any reason the bulbs for the parking lights, tailights ect are such odd #'s? I failed an inspection this AM & went to buy replacement bulbs @ the local parts store, no one had the correct P/N's in stock. Pulled the bulbs & they are the same wattage/voltage & base as an 1156 & 94. Replaced them & passed. It's really hard to find correct replacement bulbs for the Discovery, I agree. They are 2 of the most common bulbs @ any parts store. Same voltage/wattage & same base. Anybody know the differrence between the "correct bulbs" & their far more common counterparts?
