Any reason the bulbs for the parking lights, tailights ect are such odd #'s? I failed an inspection this AM & went to buy replacement bulbs @ the local parts store, no one had the correct P/N's in stock. Pulled the bulbs & they are the same wattage/voltage & base as an 1156 & 94. Replaced them & passed. Is this just some communist plot by LR to get people to pay $7.00 for a $.99 bulb? |

Well, it sure would be nice if it were like in BMW where almost all the bulbs are the same... It's really hard to find correct replacement bulbs for the Discovery, I agree. Just chalk it up to being one of LRs quirky traits. |

I used the 1156's & 94's & they worked fine. They are 2 of the most common bulbs @ any parts store. Same voltage/wattage & same base. Anybody know the differrence between the "correct bulbs" & their far more common counterparts? |
