I am curious about hill climbing. At what angle will my d2 topple over and do a reverse somersault? |

Well it can idle at 45 degrees for 45 minutes according to the sales lit. |

John, it's really dependent on if you have any mods, how you have it loaded, what the terrain is, etc... It also depends if you're going head first or behind first. If you've ever been to MAR and done the drop into the river, you'd be surprised how downright vertical you can be. |

I realize that suspension, tires, rack weight, etc. all factor in. I was just looking for a stock number as a benchmark prior to a reverse endo. I would also bet that max angle of descent would be greater than the ascent angle (but I have no real basis for that). Based on Dean's post it looks like the number I'm interested in is 45 degrees which seems conservative to me. Thank you all for the info. |

Rest assured, the point at which your truck will roll over backward is well past the point you'll pucker enough to bail, either by jumping out or by moving off the slope That said, 45-50 degrees for a stocker seems about right.... Andy |

I would think that the real danger of a steep slope would be a failed hill cimb, not tipping over backwards? I would be way, way, way, way more concerned about that than about tipping over backwards! |

I would also think that the angle would also be a function of the approach an departure angles, unless the hill gets steeper and then less steep and you get to the top. An immediate 45 to 50 degree angle might have the tail dragging on the ground, unless you have a bit of a lift. In that case your CG would be raised and that would change the maximum angle.
